YAEL MAGNES

In my series BTWN, I created eight objects that "freeze" my body in the pose of someone sitting and contemplating their next move, reminiscent of Rodin's "The Thinker." These beautiful golden objects "penetrate" and lock the body in place, preventing any action. Held at unaware meeting points on the body, these jewels-anti-jewels can be shed at any moment, along with the definitions and perceptions I carry.
